Curious about acting classes at The Actor Atelier? This free two-hour event is a welcoming, practical introduction to the training being offered in Fall 2026, including SETLIFE, Intro to Acting, How to Act Shakespeare, and Presence.
You will experience a taste of the work, meet the teachers, and connect with ongoing students and participants who can speak honestly about the classes and the Atelier community.
WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE
The evening will include introductions to:
SETLIFE - a hands-on film-production intensive where actors and emerging crew experience the process of creating a short film in a working-set environment.
Intro to Acting - truthful, responsive acting, partner work, script analysis, and foundational technique.
How to Act Shakespeare - a practical, actor-friendly approach to Shakespeare's language and text.
Presence - attention, connection, listening, and being fully available in the moment.
You will have opportunities to try simple exercises, ask questions, and learn which class may be the best fit for you.
MEET THE ATELIER COMMUNITY
Meet the teachers alongside current and returning students and participants. Hear what the training is like, how the different classes connect, and what makes The Actor Atelier a supportive place to take creative risks and grow.
SPECIAL EVENT-NIGHT OFFERS
Special registration offers for selected upcoming Fall classes will be available to attendees that evening.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Everyone is welcome - complete beginners, experienced actors looking to return to training, emerging filmmakers curious about SETLIFE, and anyone interested in presence, performance, or creative community. No preparation or previous acting experience is required.
Admission is free, but advance registration is requested. Reserve your place so we can plan the evening comfortably.
